JOHN LEWIS VOTED BEST MANAGED AGAIN

Managers have again voted department store chain John Lewis as the best-managed organisation in the UK. The retailer, which is a partnership owned by its employees, was lauded by managers for its staff who "seem to care about the performance of the business". Virgin Group was runner up. The findings came from the survey of managers that fed into the Future Forecast report. There was also a nod to the London Olympics and Paralympics, and Sainsbury's beat Tesco in the supermarket contest.
