So what measures are Finnish engineering companies taking to protect their interests? KCI Konecranes, formerly part of the Kone group, is a leading crane company. Based in Helsinki, it has a 10% share of the overall crane market, making it one of the biggest companies in a highly fragmented industry. It designs and produces overhead cranes for a broad cross-section of heavy industries, such as pulp and paper, metals and power generation.
