Space - everybody has ambitions to go there at the moment. We've had Nasa's plan for a moon base, Chinese spacemen, and India's hopes for a lunar mission. But Britain has not funded space flight to put one of its citizens into space. And, following a two-day meeting about the long-term strategy of British efforts directed towards the final frontier, this policy isn't going to change.
