Cranfield Z-bar for car windscreens may reduce pedestrian head injuries

ENGINEERS have developed technology to help lower the number of pedestrian fatalities on the roads. The technology, developed at Cranfield University, is an energy absorbing mounting system that has the potential to halve the severity of pedestrian and cyclist head injuries caused from impact with car windscreens.
