Ministry of Defence apprentice wins award

Kersey Segger, a 21 -year-old apprentice at the Ministry of Defence in Abbey Wood, south-east London, has received an award in the Tom Nevard Memorial Competition 2014. Phase two of the competition was sponsored by the institution. The Duke of York presented the award at a prestigious ceremony at the MoD in London. Segger is aiming to start a degree in an engineering-related discipline after completing her apprenticeship. Segger (centre) is pictured with runners-up Macauley Binner (left) and Craig Kitcher.
