Consumers are likely to be overwhelmed by all the options they'll find on display at this year's car shows. The annual events are serving up strong hints of the competitive revolution sweeping through the automotive world. The recent Paris Motor Show was a prime example, overflowing with such new products as Ford's Focus. The "tall car" is roomy, more fuel efficient and loaded with a range of features not found in the car it replaces, the ancient and far more down-market Escort.
