This technology could go into series production by 2022. The observation focuses primarily on the driver, who is constantly in the view of the camera located in the steering wheel. Using artificial intelligence, the system can detect, among other things, whether the driver is tired or distracted; it can then warn him of critical situations and also reduce the vehicle speed. The EU intends to make tiredness warning systems compulsory in new cars from 2022.
