Put a Yardstick to Your Process

Because I'm a tech geek, I like to find ways to use technology to do things I'm able to do the "old-fashioned" way. I have a spreadsheet cataloging my books, CDs and other media, and I'm working on a spreadsheet for my monthly and annual personal budget. I certainly could put pencil to paper for both, but I find it more satisfying to create electronic files that can change, sort and recalculate on the fly. (In fact, if I were really honest, I'd admit I like making the files a lot more than using them.)
