摘要

In case of the ductile fracture, the ultimate deformation capacity of a steel beam is governed by the stress increase at the end of the beam. On the other hand, stress increase at the end of beam is influenced by the efficiency in transmitting the stress in the web of beam through the beam-to-column joint, when rectangular hollow sections are applied as column. In this paper, the joint efficiency of such type of structural elements are estimated based on shaking table tests and the influence of the joint efficiency to the ultimate deformation capacity is investigated.
