Centralizing Component Libraries

AS A RESELLER of electronic design automation tools and solutions, I've spent a lot of time with companies that design electronic products. One common trouble spot is how engineers manage component libraries. I am constantly amazed at the number of engineering teams that continue to design from separate libraries of components on each engineer's workstation.
