Zollner to Open Costa Rica EMS Plant

San Jose, Costa Rica -Zollner Elektronik will invest a reported $10 million to open a manufacturing plant in Costa Rica, according to local news reports. The German EMS company will greenfield a site, and will eventually employ some 200 workers within the next three years. Zollner will offer SMT assembly, engineering services, research and development and support at the new location. While the printed circuit board assembler has 16 sites around the world, this would be its first in Latin America.
