And politicians are no differenton this issue.However, there are occasions whenchange is forced upon us because thecost of doing nothing becomes toogreat. The bushfires over the festiveperiod in 2019/20 have forced action.There is no doubt that these fires weremade worse by our warming and dryingclimate over the last decades. There isalso no doubt that the government hadbeen warned.
