The Second Australasian ExplorationGeoscience Conference (AEGC 2019),jointly hosted by the ASEG, thePetroleum Exploration Society ofAustralia (PESA) and the AustralianInstitute of Geoscientists (AIG) andincorporating the 27th ASEG GeophysicalConference and Exhibition, and the PESAWest Australian Basins Symposia, was atruly clastic event held at Crown Perthfrom 2 to 5 September 2019.Spring failed to arrive early in Perth,but the rain failed to dampen anyone’senthusiasm with nearly 1200 delegatesattending. Heather Tompkins andDonna Sewell took nothing forgranite and organised an outstandingexhibition featuring more than 85exhibitors. Helen Debenham dug upsome outstanding presentations tocontribute to an exceptional technicalprogramme featuring more than 280oral presentations and 80 posters.Shane Mule and Andrew Buffin createda one stop workshop and quartzprogramme attracting 504 attendees,including one particularly enthusiasticdelegate, who clearly seeing no faultsin the line-up, attended four separateworkshops.
