The Australian Seismometers in Schools network: engaging students and communities in earth science around the nation

The Australian Seismometers in Schools (AuSIS) programme aims to inspire the next generation of geoscientists by providing students with 42 state-of-the-art research quality seismometers and allowing them to watch seismic waves arrive in real time. This will engage students in hands-on earth sciences and connect them with other students, schools and scientists around the world.
