New MAB Fluidized Bed Separator for Sand Decoaling in the Braas Roof Tile Works at Rahmstorf

Die Firma Braas Dachsysteme GmbH übernimmt für die von ihr hergestellten Dachpfannen aus Beton eine 30 jährige Garantie. Voraussetzung dafür ist die Gewährleistung hoher Qualitätsanforderungen an die Siebkennlinie des eingesetzten Sandes und die sorgfältige Aushaltung quellfähiger Bestandteile. Diese Aufgabenstellung wird mit einer von Schauenburg MAB installierten Anlage sicher eingehalten. Kernstück ist der weiterentwickelte Wirbelschichtsortierer Hydrosort~® I (4m Durchmesser) für Sand 0/4 mm mit einem Durchsatz von 110 bis 150 t/h. Die Auswahlkriterien und die Ergebnisse werden dargestellt. Die Nutzungsdauer der Lagerstätte verlängert sich dadurch um 20 Jahre bis in das Jahr 2030.%Braas Dachsysteme GmbH, a German producer of roofing materials, grants a warranty period of 30 years for the concrete roof tiles produced by Braas. Requirement for this is to ensure that the high quality requirements of compliance with sand gradation limits and extensive separation of components liable to swelling. This task is reliably achieved with the plant installed by Schauenburg MAB. The most important part is the recently upgraded Hydrosort~® I (4 m φ) fluidized bed separator, for sand 0/4, with 110...150 tph throughput. Selection criteria and results are presented in this paper. The lifetime of the deposit has been extended by about 20 years into the year 2030 by this technical solution.
