On The Air ... with the Yaesu FT-1000MP Mark V Field

Regular readers may remember that I had the opportunity to review the Yaesu FT-1000MP Mark V for Practical Wireless in August 2001. At the time I described it as a fine machine that had a superb specification...despite the high cost. So, following that experience, I was very pleased to have the opportunity to try out the new Field version of the transceiver. I thought "It would be interesting to compare both models and see just what were the differences were and how well would it perform".
