The ARRL Centennial Convention

Regular readers will know that the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) celebrates its Centennial this year. There have been many activities to mark the occasion, not least the operations by the ARRL HQ station W1AW from every state of the union and several of the overseas possessions too. The centrepiece, though, was the Centennial Convention held in Hartford, Connecticut and timed to be a week after the World Radio Teamsport Championship (WRTC) in the Boston area in the hope that many of the overseas visitors would stay on for the occasion. I was one of them, having been a judge at WRTC. I'll have a report on WRTC in next month's issue.
