The Yaesu FT-2D 144/432MHz C4FM/FM Handheld Transceiver and the Yaesu HRI-200 Wires-X Interface

As I mentioned in the Introduction to Fusion article last month, I've had the pleasure of reviewing a number of pieces of equipment capable of using Yaesu's System Fusion. The first item I got out of the box was the FT-2D handheld. I was particularly excited about trying it out because I felt it would be my quickest route to a Fusion QSO. This exciting leading edge transceiver is designed with ease of use in mind, now packing an oversized back-lit touch panel display. At 1.7in, the high resolution touch screen display provides loads of information through an easily navigable interface, providing stress-free operability and a high level of on-screen visibility for the FT2DR operator.
