IN-SERVICE RELIABILITY OF STRUCTURES COMPRISING THE THRUST FRONT OF THE BRATSK HPP

This paper is devoted to the problem of providing reliability to water-development works of the thrust front for future long-term service. Characteristics of the operational condition of concrete and earthen dams are examined. The condition of the dams at the Bratsk HPP is evaluated after 50 years of service. It is concluded that the structures are in a normal state. Suggestions are given for measures directed toward future reliable and safe operation of these water development works.
