Taking Care of Old Power Plants

Utilities—and Non-utility Power Plant Owners—Are Getting Serious about Taking Care of Their old power plants. That was driven home to me recently when I attended the dedication ceremony for a turbine-generator repair facility owned by a new company named ReGENco. The story behind this startup illustrates the new dynamics in the power generation industry.
