End the Double Standard for Nuclear Critics

Every day, agencies such as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration hold nuclear power plant operators and owners accountable for their actions. In addition, corporate stockholders and the investment community keep an eye on plant operating efficiency. The industry is held accountable from all sides; but there is a double standard that does not hold nuclear power critics accountable for their words and actions. If the U.S. is to revive the nuclear energy sector, this situation must be rectified.
