Plans Advance for Large-scale Hydro

Manitoba Hydro took a step closer to building a new set of hydroelectric dams in the northeastern comer of the Canadian province. The firm plans to build two new dams on the Nelson River, the 620 MW Keeyask project and the 1,250 MW Conawapa generating station, at a combined cost of about C$8.5 billion (US$8.44 billion).
