Measure to overturn MATS defeated

In a June 20 vote, the Senate defeated Senate Joint Resolution 37, Sen. James In-hofe's, R-Okla., measure to overturn the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) Mercury and Air Toxics Standard (MATS). The measure needed 50 votes to be overturned, but was defeated in a vote of 46-53.
