Dominion Virginia Power has long recognized the virtues of fuel diversity in power generation and, in recent years, has turned to biomass as well as other re-newables to achieve a desired balance of generation sources. Fuel diversity-not placing all bets on any single generation source-leads to reasonable rates that best serve the needs and interests of customers and shareholders.
