Virtually everyone in the power, chemical process, and other industries is no doubt aware of the greatly expanded efforts to lower carbon dioxide emissions from industrial sources. This concern continues to lead increased efforts into maximizing plant efficiency both through good operating principles and through design improvements. This article examines several of these issues with regard to steam-generating facilities.
