Powergate Llc announces the release of the Mean Well RPS-300 series of medical power supplies in the industry standard 3 × 5" footprint. These Open-Frame PCB switching power supplies offer a forced air rating at 300 watts with 20 CFM & convection cooled operation at 200 Watts. The series consists of five single output models with output voltages ranging from 12～48VDC. These switchers are designed to comply with international medical safety regulations (EN60601-1 3rd Edition/MOPP level) with low leakage current (≤300uA at 264 VAC) and are suitable for BF rated, patient contact equipment. Features include: Active PFC function; Universal 90～264 VAC full range input; -30 to +70℃ operating temperature range and a topology with synchronized rectification for extremely high efficiencies up to 93%. Standard functions include Power Good signal, Remote Sense, 12 V/0.5 A Auxiliary output and Short Circuit / Overload / Over Voltage / Over Temperature Protection circuits. "Green Mode" operation enabled by remote ON/OFF control and 5 V/1 A standby output to achieve no load power consumption <0.5 W. These models are qualified for an MTBF >160k Hours, International Safety Standards (EN/IEC/ANSI/AAMI 60601-1 3rd Edition) and are backed by a 3 year warranty.
