摘要

In order to solve the problem of improper close/open of high-voltage isolating switches, a novel method was proposed based on the direction gradient histogram (HOG) and the support vector machine (SVM) in this paper. The concept of "switch state angle" was proposed first time to judge the state of high-voltage isolating switches. This method was experimental verification in the substation. Finally, we selected four types of high-voltage isolating switches to verify the validity and universality of this method. The experiment results showed that the algorithm can accurately identify the isolating switches improper close/open. This research provides an effective method to improve the operation reliability of high-voltage isolating switches.
