摘要

Here, we are reporting a new solid solution series (Sr_(1-x)Ca_x)ZrO_3 (x=0.2, 0.5, and 0.8), which has been synthesized by a solid-state technique and studied by X-ray powder diffraction study. This continuous solid solution crystallizes in the orthorhombic system with the Pbnm space group. The X-ray powder diffraction pattern of (Sr_(1-x)Ca_x)ZrO_3 (x = 0.2, 0.5, and 0.8) shows the existence of both lines SrZrO_3 and CaZrO_3 compounds which are iso-structural to each other. For the (Sr_(0.8)Ca_(0.2)ZrO_3 compound shows the maximum matching with SrZrO3(Sr-rich phase) and for (Sr_(0.2)Ca_(0.8))ZrO_3 shows maximum matching with CaZrO_3 composition (Ca-rich phase).
