For years, I've doubted that the benefits of a cellular phone could outweigh the inconvenience of lugging around an electronic appliance. So when the Motorola StarTac and Sony CM-RX100 cellular phones showed up on my desk for testing, I didn't expect to be won over. But today, I'm a convert.
