It's the end of a forgettable flight, an unremarkable day. Over the cabin PA comes a litany you've heard a hundred times before. It is delivered with the kind of casual authority only an airline pilot can muster. "Folks, from the flight deck. We should be on the ground in 'bout 10 more minutes. Uh, sunny skies, little hazy. Temperature, temperature's ah, 75 degrees. Winds out of the west around 10 miles per hour. Certainly 'predate you choosing USAir for your travel needs this evening; hope you've enjoyed the flight. Hope you come back and travel with us again." You yawn to ecjualize pressure in your ears. Muted clicks and snaps ripple through the cabin as fellow passengers stow laptop computers and return their seat backs to the upright and locked position. The high priests of technology have brought you safely home again.
