摘要

A nitrogen-phosphate composite flame-retardant, melamine polyphosphate was prepared through a simpler, less energy-consuming and environment-friendly synthesis method compared with the conventional one. The obtained MPP was characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared spectra (FT-IR) and solid-state NMR, and the conversion ratio was determined through the weight-loss caused by the ammonia release during the condensation. Glass fiber-reinforced polyamide 66 was flame retarded by this synthesized MPP, and the combustion and charring behavior were investigated. Additionally, the practical flame retardance including UL94 vertical burning test and Limiting Oxygen Index measurement were conducted for the comparison with the existing commercial MPP system.
