摘要

The research is aimed to review the impact of over the function of farmland into residential land to increase of air pollution and the need of green open spaces. This research used descriptive quantitative method and spatial methods with the help of Arcview 3.3 software. The result showed that the total of CO_2 emission resulting from the activities of the Housing of Sawojajar reached 13,540,001.95 Kg/year while total CO_2 absorption capability from the green open spaces existance reached 5,760,532.25 kg/year. The total of emissions that not yet were absorbed by 7,779,469.7 kg/ year. The distribution of emissions load in each residential bloks (RW) was between 82000-760000 kg/year. Only 3 of the 23 residential bloks that had fulfilled the amount of green open spaces. The need for additional plants that had absorption of CO_2 emissions that were high in areas that had not been fulfilled.
