Not every discovery can make the leap from lab to marketplace. Even fewer keep their footing in a market-driven environment that routinely slaps down technologies unable to achieve their promise. Self-Assembled Monolayers on Mesoporous Supports (SAMMS) technology made the leap and kept its footing. Now, it is living up to its original promise of removing mercury from contaminated liquids.
