Organ and plantlet regeneration of Menyanthes trifoliata through tissue culture

The conditions for the regeneration of plants through organogenesis form callus tissues of Menyanthes trifoliata are de- scribed. The shoot multiplication rate was affected by basal culture media, the type and concentration of cytokinin and sub- culture number. The best response was obtained when caulogenic calli were coltured on the modified Schenk and Hilde- brandt medium(SH_M)containing indole-3-acetic acid(IAA 0.5mg/I) and 6-benzyladenine(BA1 mg/I) or zeatin(2 Mg/I).
