First and foremost, before purchasing any book I would recommend checking the relevant course reading list to ensure your chosen text relates to your enrolled course. Another important point about these books is that they were written largely for the nursing and midwifery professions and indeed most experts in the field come from those two professions. Don't let that put you off I As new editions are released and as more allied health professionals join courses the content of the books will likely begin to reflect their newly extended audience. In any case, the core principles of safe, evidence-based prescribing practice apply irrespective of professional registration.
