There were two events in international politics. First was the decision or announcement by the Greek Prime Minister. Greek Prime Minister G. Papandreou announced that they would put to a referendum the comprehensive measures created by the EU leaders for preventing a financial crisis in Greece. As I watched this announcement, which must have been made on a "sudden idea," on the television in a bar after work, someone made the comment "the Kan-Cabinet of Greece!" The people around just nodded in agreement and there was no laughter.
