Uranium fell to the lowest in nine months March 13 as market sources said aggressive sellers, including financial investors and traders, lowered offer prices and sold at progressively lower prices during the week. S&P Global Platts assessed the 12-month average of uranium spot prices, based on the mean of assessed activity for U3O8 delivered over the next 12 months, at $24.57/lb at 1 pm EST March 13. That price is 22 cents below the price Platts assessed March 12 at $24.79/lb and 44 cents below the price Platts assessed March 6 at $25.01/lb. It is the lowest price Platts assessed since May 31, when the price was $24.30/lb.
