It is a bold step, indeed, for an organization to initiate a study to determine if its companies are providing a safe and healthy working environment for their employees. But that is exactly what the Metal Finishing Association of Southern California (MFASC) board of directors decided to do. The results of the research, if unfavorable, could damage not only MFSAC's position, but could reflect negatively on the industry in general. The following article summarizes the conclusions reached in this pilot study.
