This process can be made easier with ProSoft Technology's AN-X2-AB-DHRIO EtherNet/IP™ to Remote I/O gateway. This single gateway allows companies to upgrade up to 8 Remote I/O PanelViews™ to EtherNet/ IP PanelView™ Plus 6 terminals, or upgrade up to 4 Remote I/O drives to PowerFlex~® drives on EtherNet/ IP™. The gateway doesn't require users to modify their PLC code - which can be a tricky endeavor - and has a microSD card that stores all configuration files and can be inserted into another gateway as part of your disaster recovery plan.
