DENVER'S UBER USERS ARE PILOTING a new app update that integrates a variety of local transportation options through partnership with the Regional Transportation District and urban mobility app Moovit. Alongside ordering rides, scooters, and electric bikes, Uber Transit allows all users to view real-time public transit data, find walking directions to bus stops, and even purchase transit tickets within the app. Uber Transit was available to users in January, but ticket purchasing didn't go live until June. And in only a month, more than 1,200 RTD tickets were sold through the app, Uber says, with the number of repeat ticket purchases increasing weekly.
