States playing some role in the development of the nation's oil and gas shale plays will see significant job creation over the next decade, the president of the Energy Equipment and Infrastructure Alliance told a recent U.S. House subcommittee. Speaking before the Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources during a hearing on manufacturing jobs created by the American energy boom, EEIA's Toby Mack said preliminary data from IHS Global Inc. research conducted for his organization forecast a major increase in job creation through 2025 that is directly related to the unconventional oil and gas boom.
