Bringing together studies involving a variety of languages (including English, Finnish, Polish, French, German, Portuguese, Persian, and Ijaw), this compelling collection, with contributions in English and in French, offers a rich and multifaceted exploration of the concept of intratextual voices in Translation Studies: in their definition, in their articulation in plurilingual texts, and in the challenges they represent for translators. The collection originates from the conference La traduction des voix intra-textuelles: concepts, discours et pratiques/Intratextual Voices in Translation: Concepts, Discourses and Practices, held in Paris in March 2011 and organised by the international research group 'Voices in Translation' under the direction of Cecilia Alvstad of the University of Oslo.
