At Chhattisgarh State Power Companies Limited (CSPCL), there was no centralized antivirus solution for the desktops and servers. No centralized directory service was present using which the systems could be controlled and restrictions could be put in place. The mail gateway was unprotected as there was no gateway mail scanning solution in place. There was no mechanism to restrict spam and virus e-mails from flowing in and out of our domain. There was also no centralized patch management solution in place. The internet traffic was unregulated and all users had unrestricted access to internet.
