"Coding is hard and is error-prone, and human beings haven't been able to do it with good productivity and good quality. We have to figure out a way to correct that situation, right now in the industry, testing is the best method we have. Testing has to be there from the absolute beginning. Developers have to be the part of the quality solution, there's no question about that. That slice of the software, the part of code that the developers owns, there's nobody else better to test that than the developer him-self, as he has the best understanding of the software code.
