While NetFlix and Hulu have become mainstays of American households for online video streaming, the same craze is yet to take over in India. We look at the main streaming services making waves in India to find out who comes on top....A recent launch by Times Internet Group, BoxTV is an online video streaming service that hosts more than 170,000 hours of content. These include a wide range of regional-language content (Tamil,Telugu,Kannada,M arathi,Gujarati, etc.) BoxTV has also partnered up with Sony Pictures, Disney UTV and Celestial Entertainment to bring hollywood shows and movies to the service. During our interaction with Satyan Gajwani (CEO,Times Internet), he said 'We spend 4 hours per movie adding metadata to hundreds of clips from the movie, and index them so they are search-friendly'.
