With the growing acceptance of the public cloud among businesses, Hybrid Cloud systems are set to become increasingly commonplace. 'Unified Cloud' has the potential to take alignment between technology and business to a new level by enabling value to flow between both sides. "Private Cloud is current flavor but hybrid Cloud is fast becoming a reality" says a not too old IDC study of over 300 large companies in the United States and Europe. To me, this is as it should be, because it is the hybrid model that exploits Cloud potential to the fullest. It's the golden mean between private, public and on-premise, enabling enterprises to fulfill all their ambitions - from plain-vanilla aspirations like cost efficiency, scalability, productivity and "on demand" to strategic business priorities like innovation, market expansion and business model reinvention.
