Using Horizon Scenery with Orbx Global

I am running FSX with Horizon's Photo Scenery and UK 2000 Airfields. I would like to purchase Orbx Global to get better scenery for the rest of the world. Is it possible to run the two sceneries together without conflict? I am also interested in trying X-Plane and as I primarily fly in the UK, I would like to purchase similar scenery.
