Location privacy is an important issue in location-based services (LBSs), current protecting location privacy methods cannot be used in vehicular networks due to the constrained vehicular mobility. In this paper, we propose a new cloaking algorithm which takes road segments and vehicles into consideration. We start with a definition of a location-based attack, and then design a new cloaking algorithm based on neighbour spaces. We also provide a compact cloaking algorithm based on a related vehicle density. The experimental results show that our method can be used for continuous LBSs under vehicular networks, and resist a location-based attack while having efficiencies in terms of cloaking time and successful rate.
