The Digitax ST servo drive from Control Techniques, an Emerson Industrial Automation company, is an ultra-compact, feature-rich drive with scalable fieldbus communications capability. The Digitax ST features two expansion slots that accept optional snap-in Solution Modules (SMs). Users can install any combination of SMs to customize the drive to accommodate the fieldbus best suited for the application requirements. Fieldbus communication can be separated into real time and non-real time categories. The flexibility of the Digitax ST's modular design easily accommodates common industrial fieldbus types and provides scalability as application needs change.
