Last summer Walmart announced that it would begin using compliance-prompting packaging for consumer medications at 3,600 of its in-store pharmacies nationwide. In December, it launched a second compliance pack in 4,600 of its stores across the U.S.. The adoption of these paperboard-based calendarized blister packs for its pharmaceutical products, in addition to its use of the traditional amber-vial container with cap, was said to have been made as part of Walmart's commitment help its customers "live better."
